Financial Analyst III-Revenue

The Financial Analyst III is responsible for the analysis  and reconciliation of monthly  revenue, related revenue accounting and jouranl entries  and assists and supports the department in third party reporting. Assists in the preparation of monthly financial reports with minimual supervison  and perform complex account analysis. Responsibilities  also include but are not limited to ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger accounts used by other revenue  sources such as vairous government programs CHLA is eligible to particiapte in, ad hoc reporting, serving as finance liasion to several teams, provess documentation and assisting in program renewals. 

Duties Include:

* Reviewing monthly contractual calculations with the supervision and review by the Reimbursement     Manager.
* Preparing and submitting special reports required by the California DHS and Medicare fiscal Intermediaries and settlement analysis.
* Assisting to complete annual Medicare cost report for children’s hospital, including organ transplant, renal dialysis and CHGME resident programs.
* Completing accurate annual California Department of Health Services (DHS), Medi-Cal cost reports and all related supplemental reports such as: Medi-Cal supplemental reports and Rate Development Branch.
* Th this position also works closely with Medicare and Medi-Cal Auditors during audit process providing requested supporting documentation.
* Work closely with Trauma and Mental Health Program Managers to assure timely submissions of all reports, surveys and contracts
* Review other revenue streams for accuracy, timeliness and accuracy (i.e. DSH, Private Hospital Supplemental Program, Construction and Renovation, Provider Fee and CHGME

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Peoplesoft preferred. 4-6 years accounting experience  with increased responsibilities with a minimum of 4 years in healthcare/hospital setting preferred. 

Skills required
Strong Excel skills required. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are mandatory. Self-starter who enjoys a busy, challenging and exciting work environment.
