Responsibilities

A Versant RN Residency Program / 4 East Heme-Onc is a 32 bed unit that provides care for children and young adolescents with cancer and blood disorders. Scopes of practice include chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, symptom management of treatment toxicity, blood product administration, new diagnosis and end of life care.  The unit is dynamic,  fast paced and is focused on family-centered care.  4 East is the biggest of the three units that make up the in-patient Hem/Onc service line. Our next program, designed for the recent RN graduate, begins March 2020 This program is a 22 week immersion with additional education and support throughout the first year.

Minimum Requirements: New graduate or will graduate and will have a RN license by March 2020 and will have less than one year of nursing experience in any nursing area. A BSN is required.
