The Versant RN Residency Program / PICU is a Level I Trauma Unit, for young patients requiring highly complicated and life-saving procedures. The PICU is a 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) the largest such unit on the West Coast. Nearly 1,400 critically ill patients – too sick to be treated on general inpatient floors – are admitted each year for specialized medical and nursing services. Within the PICU, children from multiple surgical specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics and general pediatric surgery receive advanced level care.
Our next program, designed for the recent RN graduate, begins March 9, 2020. This program is a 22 week immersion with additional education and support throughout the first year.
Minimum Requirements: New graduate or will graduate and will have a RN license by March 2020 and will have less than one year of nursing experience in any nursing area. A BSN is required.
