It’s Work That Matters.

Position Summary:The Manager, Nursing Professional Development oversees a team of clinical educators, research associates, and support staff including NPD Sr. Specialists, Specialists, and Associates.  The Manager collaborates with Executive team members, departmental leadership, and clinical staff.  They provide education and evaluation to Clinical Services staff members and facilitate research and evidence-based practice.  The Manager has oversight of collecting data/metrics and develops and maintains an education dashboard. Collaborates with healthcare practitioners and ensures adherence to Joint Commission standards and all related policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.  The Manager oversees hospital-wide Clinical Education programs, as well as, orientation, ongoing staff development programs, content development, evaluation processes, and community partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in pediatrics preferred in teaching, staff development, and curriculum development. Experience in oversight of research teams. Ability to lead others. Good organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing. Previous supervisory and fiscal management experience required. Thorough knowledge of the principles pertaining to adult education. Ability to lead others and apply organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully verbally and in writing.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Master’s Degree required; doctoral degree preferred. California RN License. Current CPR Card. National certification required. Nursing Professional Development certification (NPD-BC) required.

You must be willing to reside in the state of California, and have a primary work site in the state of California, to be considered for this position.
