It’s Work That Matters.
The Manager, Clinical CNS in the Level IV NICU has primary responsibility for ensuring the clinical competency of the work area staff. Also shares responsibility with the NICU education and operations managers for the coordination and operation of the work area. While maintaining a team approach to the shared responsibilities, will function independently as needed in all aspects of the work area operations on a 24 hour basis. Will supervise all work area staff that have completed orientation with emphasis on clinical development and will collaborate with other work area staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the work area.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
- 2 years of recent NICU level IV experience along with leadership experience (ex: manager, charge nurse) in the NICU
- Previous CNS experience with knowledge of QA methodology and experience developing and leading QI projects as well as achieved academic accomplishments (i.e, poster/podium presentations, published manuscripts) to be able to mentor staff.
- Will also require Policy and practice development (i.e., development of clinical practice guidelines, policy and procedure development, EBP synthesis to advance clinical care) as well as nursing research to help drive the NICU nursing clinical care.
Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required Current professional California Licensure BLS, PALS and Clinical Nurse Specialist certification required. National Certification Required
