The Senior Program Manager will provide leadership to the Department of Surgery by facilitating growth and development while organizing, directing, and managing all programs in accordance to the strategic initiatives set by department leadership. This position will oversee all basic sciences, clinical, and translational research studies and grants performed for the Division. Responsibilities include the functional supervision of division financial analysts, overseeing pre-and post-award financial support of extramural awards, fiscal management of philanthropic funds, and management of faculty funding portfolios and profiles. The Senior Program Manager will also serve as department liaison and/or representative with external vendors managing these relationships, contracts, and expectations.
Minimum Education/ Training Requirements-Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree preferred. Will consider combination of experience and relevant education
Minimum Experience Required:5+ years’ experience managing multiple, parallel projects. 3+ years’ experience managing teams. Experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Advanced communication, interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills. Advanced analytical and financial skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
