The RN II, under general supervision, serves as a registered nurse, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. 6 West is comprised of 5 specialties: nephrology, gastroenterology, pediatric surgery, ophthalmology, and transplant. The unit is 32 beds.
Minimum requirements: 1-2 years of acute hospital pediatric experience with the transplant or medical-surgical population. An Associates Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in any field or a BSN or MSN required. AHA CPR and PALS and CA RN license required.
