It’s Work That Matters.

The Registered Nurse for the BMT under general supervision, serves as a registered nurse, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. This position is for the Bone Marrow Transplant unit.

BMT is dedicated to providing the best transplant approaches known, along with being at the forefront of developing research that discovers better methods of practice. Specific programs include:

  • Cell Therapy with open protocols for CAR T-cells, NK-cells and others
  • Immunotherapy, including conjugated antibody approaches
  • Reduced toxicity approaches—we have developed a number of highly effective approaches with decreased toxicity for both malignant and non-malignant disorders
  • Alternative donor transplantation—with our diverse population, we are experts at cord blood and haploidentical transplantation
  • Non-malignant disease centers of excellence—we have centers of excellence with key expertise for immune deficiency, marrow failure, hemoglobin disorders (sickle cell, thalassemia), and inborn errors of metabolism (mucopolysaccaridoises, leukodystrophies).
Qualifications: 1-2 years of acute hospital pediatric experience with the BMT population. AHA CPR and PALS and CA RN license required. BSN or MSN
